Old Trafford Magic

Man Utd won in an amazing Manchester derby – after 3 previous meetings in Fantasy League history had gone too City, devastated Andy Lowe thought his side had levelled it in the 92nd minute, only to see Van-Nistelrooy smash home a 93rd minute last-gasp attempt,

Ian Warmby will be over the moon to break the Man City voodoo spell - after United have struggled to beat their local rivals in previous encounters.

The good the quiet and the unlucky

Chelsea are in good form – But a 3-1 win over Tottenham came at a price,

Deco was relatively quiet on his debut – but Brazilian star Kaka made his mark on 64 mins,

And even Drogba notched his 8th of the season in the 83rd minute,

But all this was over shadowed by King’s tackle which saw Lucio stretchered off,

Paul Brown was furious that King was only shown a yellow card – and the worst news came after the game, Lucio has a suspected Broken Leg which will see him out for a long time,

It’s back to the drawing board for Chelsea who now have a Defender crisis – with Bridge and Carvalho also out for a long time.

Hammers shoot-out horror no.2

West Ham lost again in a penalty shoot-out, this time it was too Q.P.R.,

On-Loan goalkeeper Royce pulled off 3 saves – saving penalties from Prosinecki – Smicer & Cheyrou,

Le-Tallec who scored a penalty in extra-time was the only 1 out of 5 West Ham players to score, Etherington’s penalty was blazed over,

Q.P.R. now face Wigan in the Quarter-Finals over 2 legs.

Smith happy with win

Ipswich Manager Steven Smith was on the verge of walking out a few days ago – Rumour’s had it that Smith was sick of the lack of effort by his players – and a run of bad results,

But he was said to be pleased with the Championship Cup win over Wolverhampton,

He also congratulated scorer Mcmanaman after his extra-time winner, he also stated that now it was time to get a run together and climb the league table.
